finding your career path

FINDING YOUR CAREER PATH
In the words of James Russell a career coach, he said:” No man has been born into this world which career has not been born with him”. Its therefore your duty and responsibility to discover the career that is meant for you. There are two-factors that can determine whether we fail or succeed in life. Firstly, the choice of our spouse, secondly the choice of our career. A career is an ambition, an occupation, a way of making a living, and a solution to a problem. Every career solves a problem.
Doctors solve health related problems, lawyers solve legal oriented problems, and fashion designers solve clothing related problems. Therefore a career basically solves problems.

In finding your career path, there is an acronym that helps you to enjoy the procedure. It can be found in the word C .A.R.E E. R.
C-Care: If you truly desire to find your career path it is critical for you to focus on that activity you engage in that you ardently care about. If you remove “ER” from the word career you get care. What you spend your time, treasure and talents on is an indication of the career path you can focus on. Jayjay okocha cares about football, Larry izamoje cares about sports broadcast, ali baba cares about stand up comedy, what do you care about?
A-Ability: This implies what you are able to do with little or no effort. Any activity you engage in with little or no effort is an indication of a career path you should focus on.Chimanda adichie the award-winning author of purple hibiscus discovers her strength lies in writing fiction; today she has built a career on that ability.
What can you do with little or no effort?

R-Relatives: Your relatives represent those people who are close to you. What your friends, associates and pals have been commending you for consistently is a pointer to a career path you can build your life upon. This is what Time Magazine says of Bill gates:”He is a man who loves computers very much.”Today, gates built his career on this principle and he became a mega success.

E-Experience: Your experience represents those things you’ve been through in your lifetime that you can never forget. If you won in a cooking competition, and people are always giving rave reviews concerning your cooking you can build your career on those experiences. Kanu Nwankwo once had a faulty Valve in his heart, he went to the surgeon’s table and he is doing well today that singular unforgettable experience gave birth to the kanu heart foundation. Today, kanu helps other individuals overcome their heart related problems

E-Enthusiasm: This is a feeling of strong emotion towards a particular activity. Larry izamoje {ceo} brila fm puts it this way: “Passion gives rise to action”. Funmi Iyanda is enthusiastic anchoring talkshows, gani fawenhimi is enthusiastic about human rights activism, tiger woods is fascinated and animated playing golf. What activity gives you enthusiasm?
